Celebrating For The Record’s SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance Milestone

We are proud to announce a significant achievement for For The Record: attaining SOC 2 Type 2 compliance. This milestone marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to ensuring the security of our FTR Justice Cloud platform.

What does SOC 2 Type 2 compliance entail?

SOC 2, which stands for Systems and Organization Controls 2, is a framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It is used to assess the security posture of cloud-based service providers against five Trust Services Criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

It focuses on the controls and protocols that organizations implement to protect client data and systems from unauthorized access, data breaches, data loss or alteration, hacking, and other threats across the cybersecurity landscape.

Type 2 is a designation within the SOC 2 framework that indicates the effectiveness of these controls over a specified period, typically three to 12 months. To achieve Type 2 compliance, an organization must have the necessary controls in place and demonstrate these are consistently followed and effective over time.

Prioritizing security and compliance in everything we do

For The Record’s attainment of SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is a testament to our unwavering commitment to data security and privacy. It signifies that FTR Justice Cloud meets the highest, globally-recognized standards for protecting the sensitive information entrusted to us by courts around the world.

This achievement would not have been possible without the collective efforts of our team, who have worked tirelessly to implement and maintain robust security measures. From stringent access controls to regular audits and tests, every aspect of our operations has been scrutinized to ensure compliance with SOC 2 Type 2 requirements.

But our commitment to security doesn’t end here. Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance is just one step in our ongoing journey to safeguarding data and maintaining the trust of our customers. We continue to invest in cutting-edge security technologies, maintain awareness of emerging threats, and adapt our practices to mitigate risks effectively.

This achievement reinforces our position as a trusted partner for organizations seeking a secure and reliable platform for managing their court records, including court audio and video, speech-to-text draft transcripts, and certified transcripts.

Thank you to our customers and partners—including Drata and Assurance Lab—for your support and guidance as we continue to uphold the highest standards of security and compliance within the justice technology space.
