Auscript’s sister technology company partners with industry leader in court recording solutionsFor The Record
Court technology companies ForTheRecord (FTR) and Court Record Solutions (CRS) have signed an exclusive agreement to integrate their products into an end-to-end record production, management and access system.
Court Record Solutions is the sister company of Auscript – Australia’s most trusted transcription provider and the official provider of court reporting services to numerous commonwealth courts and tribunals throughout Australia. The collaboration leverages pioneering technology originally developed in-house by Auscript to increase efficiencies and improve client experience.
Auscript was the first operator to implement a nation-wide digital recording and transcription network using FTR software in 2005. In the following years, Auscript developed a suite of applications that enabled the company to deliver over 99% of transcripts on time, and revolutionised access to recordings for the judiciary via a secure online portal, now known as Court.fm.
In 2010, CRS was formed to commercialise the Auscript technology with the assistance of a grant from Commercialisation Australia.
Auscript CEO and Managing Director, Peter Wyatt, said the new partnership brought together the considerable know-how and specialities of two leading court technology companies to deliver solutions that would fast become the benchmark in a new era of producing and working with the digital record.
“The results we have achieved at Auscript by blending the CRS innovations with FTR technology over the last few years have been game-changing for Auscript. The efficiency of the production operation has greatly increased and our clients have experienced more seamless, on time, service delivery and much more meaningful reporting.”
Court operators and reporters will benefit from integrated connectivity and control of FTR technology via the CRS range of solutions, meaning web access and control, enhanced management of audio, greater worker mobility, improved production times and lower operational costs.
Mr Wyatt said Auscript’s sister company CRS was looking forward to the collaboration.
“CRS is excited by this opportunity to introduce greater efficiency and accessibility into the process of making and moving the court record,” he said.
The solutions are currently scheduled for release in the Fourth Quarter of 2012 and will be co-branded and marketed exclusively by FTR.
