ForTheRecord releases new version of TheRecord Manager suite

Phoenix, AZ, October 19, 2011 — ForTheRecord (FTR), a global leader in digital recording and content management solutions for judicial and public safety venues, today released a new suite of products as part of  TheRecord Manager family, namely the Access EditionTM, Guardian EditionTM and Warehouse EditionTM.

TheRecord Manager, suitable for courts of all sizes, facilitates a multitude of tasks such as dual archiving, replication, on-demand and automated reformatting of recordings to alternate formats, sealing and encryption. Plus, now, with the newly included Access Edition, TheRecord Manager delivers an array of reformatting capabilities, offering clients broader access to content as well as automatic, scheduled format conversions.

Alternatively, the Guardian Edition enables clients to seal and or encrypt their recorded content, thereby restricting access to authorized personnel only.  Lastly, the Warehouse Edition product leverages the latest in software advancements to provide an enhanced user experience with near-instant access to all FTR content, including across a virtual private or wide area network.

Additionally, TheRecord Manager suite helps US Federal Courts automate the conversion of individual hearing recordings to single-channel MP3 files for posting into the CM-ECF/PACER system, saving valuable time and improving process efficiencies.

“The new additions to TheRecord Manager product suite are a result of our dedicated and focused effort to provide new and existing FTR clients with a robust content management solution that meets their specific needs,” said Daniel Bennett, Executive Vice President of FTR.  “It is a platform on which we will continue to build and deliver expanding capabilities to benefit our clients in the years to come.”

FTR solutions installed across Slovenia

MEDIA RELEASE

ForTheRecord (FTR) digital recording solutions implemented in 352 courtrooms across Slovenia

Phoenix, AZ, June 20, 2011 — ForTheRecord (FTR), a global leader in digital recording and content management solutions for judicial and public safety venues, today announced that all 352 court rooms in Slovenia have been outfitted with the FTR Gold suite of products. Project “Audio Recording in Courts” is part of E-justice projects in Slovenia, and is co-financed by the European Social Fund.

FTR Reporter and FTR Mixer were the key products from the FTR Gold family that were leased by the Ministry of Justice through FTR partner and audio integrator, AVC Group based in Slovenia.  In addition, the courts also leased copies of TheRecord Manager and FTR Monitor software solutions to facilitate superior management of their digital recordings.

Jani Medic, from AVC, who led the team that designed and project-managed the complex installation said, “The FTR suite of products met the requirements of what we were looking for almost perfectly.  We needed to record up to eight independent channels, all of which had to be fully backed up.  In addition, the recordings were required to be shared amongst judges, lawyers and transcription services, while providing security, usage tracking and archiving. The FTR solution had all of these components and was able to be customized.”

According to Daniel Bennett, Executive Vice President of FTR, “The courts in Slovenia were looking for major productivity gains along with enhanced services for the judiciary and legal practitioners.  The FTR system was tested against stringent requirements and proved to be able to deliver the type of results that the Ministry was looking for.”  Further, he added, “Slovenia now has one of the world’s most efficient court recording work flow systems and is well placed to meet future demands for open and transparent administration of justice.”

ForTheRecord Releases TheRecord Player 4.2

ForTheRecord Releases TheRecord PlayerTM 4.2

New release of TheRecord Player now includes Windows Vista compatibility among other notable enhancements.

Phoenix, AZ – August 2, 2007 — ForTheRecord (FTR), the leading global supplier of multimedia recording and content management solutions for courts, hearing rooms, public meeting and law enforcement venues, today announced the release of TheRecord Player 4.2 – FTR’s newest version of its free software player.

According to Erik Ligé, FTR Global Vice President Sales and Marketing, “The new release of TheRecord Player is designed to meet the needs of the growing Windows Vista market. We have also incorporated some other key features such as playback via an FTP site, and interchangeable design “skins”.

The ability to play back content from an FTP site has been on the FTR product road map for quite some time”, says Lige. “This capability is particularly useful for City Councils that use FTR products to record their Council Meetings. These agencies typically share the recordings and associated minutes and/or agendas with their constituents. Rather than sending this information out on CDs, they can now make this content easily accessible via an FTP server. Users can then initiate the download through TheRecord Player.” Additionally, Lige continues, “FTR users who are familiar with the interface and controls of our popular Gold player, FTR Player Plus, can retain that familiar look and feel by switching to the Gold design “skin” as desired.”

TheRecord Player 4.2 will continue to be available as a free download from FTR’s website, www.fortherecord.com. “TheRecord Player has many easy-to-use capabilities specifically designed to assist our user community”, says Radhika Anand, FTR Product Manager for TheRecord Player. We anticipate the download activity for 4.2 to be strong, as we expect the majority of end-users currently using an FTR player to update to this new version.”
